Privacy policy

The short version

CloudDeskIT is a static website. The build compare tool runs entirely in your browser. We do not run accounts, we do not have a database, and no part of your build is transmitted to us.

What we collect

Nothing directly. There is no analytics script, no tracking pixel, no advertising tag, and no cookie set by this site.

Our web host records standard server logs — IP address, timestamp, requested page, browser user agent — as part of serving the site. We do not analyse or combine those logs, and we cannot identify you from them.

Your build

The parts you select are stored in the page address, after the #. That is what makes a build shareable and bookmarkable. Everything after the #stays in your browser and is never sent to a web server, including ours. Clearing the address or pressing Clear removes it.

Links to retailers

Price listings link out to retailers such as Amazon, Flipkart, Newegg and Best Buy. Following one of those links takes you to that company's website, where their own privacy policy and cookies apply — not ours. Some of those links may earn us a commission, which never changes the price you pay and never affects which part we show as cheapest.

Prices are estimates

Prices shown are gathered periodically and can be out of date or wrong. They are for planning only. Always confirm the current price at the retailer before buying. We are not a seller and take no part in your transaction.

Children

This site is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone.

Changes and contact

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Questions can go tohello@clouddeskit.com.
